Next Year!

This picture from Michael Keating at the Cincinnati Enquirer pretty much sums it up. This was the 2nd play of the game after a a long pass completion and Palmer is out with a torn ACL until next season. Some have made some comments about the "Bungles" but last night I only saw a team playing with a lot of emotion having just lost their star quarterback. The "Bungles" are dead, long live the Bengals! Kitna did a great job in the first half, but the second half was a different story.

The second highlight of the evening was the drunken Pittsburgh Steeler's fan (yellow construction hat and all) in the very top section of the stadium being ejected after swearing at Bengal fans and dumping beer on some bystanders. The Hamilton County Sheriffs probably saved his life as the crowd was getting ugly after Palmer's injury.

Now for a refreshment critique. The American beers suck and the Guinness was about 1/4 mile away each way, and I'm talking downhill and then back uphill. We were actually in the last row at the top at the 50 yard line. The good news is that no one behind you can throw a beer down your back, the bad news is that there is no one behind you!

The Warsteiner Dunkel draft was very good and within walking distance. I won't even begin to review the food available as this was not fine dining. The peanuts in the third quarter hit the spot.

Until next year!

You'll be glad to know that I was escorted out of the stadium, but not arrested ;)

Okay, so it wasn't me.

I say the Bungles live...did you hear what Chad "Terrell Owens Jr." Johnson did before the second half?

That was a dirty hit if there ever was one. It was like there was a contract involved. The NFL should kick Pittsburg out of the league. Talk about bad sportsmanship, how about "NO" sportsmanship! If you look at the picture on the cover of today's Enquirer, I think it's very telling.

Bengals fans whining again. If it was a dirty hit, the refs would have thrown a flag....to paraphrase Jack Lambert, you might as well put dresses on quarterbacks these days....but even with today's rules, no flag came.

Tell me your Zipcode and then I will respond! I am betting it's in the 15200's. Or are you the guy behind the black and yellow face paint?

Elk Rider (not even gonna TOUCH that one):

I'll assume that you're joking about Kimo's hit being dirty. There is absolutely no way that it was and neither of players involved thinks it was. Watch the replay...he was partially blocked into Carson...

I look forward to many years of Carson vs. Ben in the playoffs...as long as the Browns still suck :)

Thanks for not touching that, it's like a "Mojo Rising" kind of thing. Ultimately I am afraid you are correct. It was the Bengals responsibility to have blocked that player so I guess I am just another whining cry-baby Bengal fan.

My zip code is 45249, not 15200.

As far as the Browns sucking, that looks to continue. And Baltimore will be right there with them. The only person between the Ravens and the first draft choice is Ray Lewis and his force of personality. And Ray is almost done with pro football. Kyle Boller will never be an even adequate NFL QB.
